Water Sports
The summers are long, and the water is crystal clear so it is no surprise that water sports are so popular in Javea and the Costa Blanca. There are lots of opportunities to rent equipment to enjoy water sports such as Stand Up Paddle boarding (SUP) , kayaking, windsurfing and jet skis. And with plenty of beach shops to buy snorkels and masks, snorkelling is a great introduction to water sports for all the family.
Boating
For the sailors in you, there are sailing clubs and boat rental companies in Javea to get further out onto the water and appreciate the Javea coastline from the other side.
Cycling
If land is more suited to you, the roads are extremely well equipped for cyclists and pro cycling teams visit from all over the world to train on the Costa Blanca roads. The scenery is magnificent.
Walking/Hiking
There are many walking and hiking routes in Javea and surrounding areas, from gentle strolls to more exertive climbs. We highly recommend the walk up to the summit of Montgo. The views from the top are phenomenal!
Horse Riding
For the riders, there are lots of top quality horse riding schools in the Costa Blanca including Javea, Benitachell, Gata and Oliva for horse riding lessons and livery etc. See our blog on Horse riding in Javea and the Costa Blanca for more detailed information on equestrianism in the area.
Tennis
Home to three-time Davis Cup champion David Ferrer, tennis is another extremely popular sport in Javea, helped of course by the weather. The Ferrer Tennis Academy is just one of many tennis clubs and courts to enjoy the sport.
Padel Tennis
Closely followed by another favoured racquet sport - Padel tennis. Several of the exclusive urbanisations have their own Padel courts and there are a few public courts and Padel clubs to join on this fun and competitive activity.
